Learn More About ASNA DataGate
ASNA DataGate for .NET Provides Data Access to These Platforms
IBM System i
DataGate for the System i (formerly known as iSeries, AS/400) connects .NET applications directly to the OS/400 DB2 UDB database. When connected to an IBM System i, DataGate for System i provides client applications read/write record-level access, remote program calls to OS/400 program objects and OS/400 object management.
Microsoft SQL Server
DataGate for SQL Server allows the same .NET applications that connect to System i to connect without code change to Microsoft’s SQL Server.
DataGate Database on Microsoft Windows Servers and Desktops
DataGate for Windows provides an System i-like database for use on Windows Servers and desktops .

DataGate Solves These Problems…and More
- Any situation requiring fast, reliable access to the System i from Windows and Web-based applications
- Enables Windows- and Web-based programs to connect concurrently to both the System i and Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Creates redundancy and reliability by allowing RPG applications to be able to fail-over to SQL Server in the event that the network connecting to the remote System i goes down
- Allows Windows and Web developers to be able to create applications while offline from any line-of-business System i
- Supports the ability for stakeholders to have a managed subset of the DB2 database available for use when connecting to the System i isn't possible
- Enables the creation of applications that today target the System i, but that later may move to SQL Server without changing the applications and without sacrificing performance and security
